IceGators searching for first win

The Lousiana IceGators(0-2) travel to Biloxi for the second time this season to take on the Surge (2-0), this time looking for their first win of the season. In their first meeting, the Gators hung in and only lost 3-2 but were outshot and shorthanded on 9 different occasions.

The Surge have been playing well, beating the Gators 3-2 then Columbus 3-0. Surge goalie Mike Brown, was named SPHL player of the week, but to the delight of IceGator fans his backup Dan Earles will be in net tonight. Winger Michael Richard has 3 points in 2 games. 6'4" standout, Matt Zultek is coming off of a 2 goal performance.

The IceGators made a small lineup change this week by releasing Luke Frey and signing Jason Harding. Harding is 5'10 173 pounds and last played hockey at Mount Royal College. Coach MacIsaac is hoping that this change will decrease the amount of shots that goalie Scott Darling has been seeing.
