The IceGators take on the Ice Flyers at 3:00 today in Pensacola in the second exhibition. The Ice Flyers may be a little bruised and beaten after 7 fights in last night's game against Columbus. There were 109 penalty minutes in the game and P-cola managed to win 6-3.
Speaking of brawling, in the Fayetteville-Augusta game last night, a 4 on 4 brawl in the third period resulted in 6 ejections. The game had 141 penalty minutes and Fayetteville won 6-3 after being up 5-0 in the first period.
The crazy night of fights in only exhibition games is a wild way to start the season. The IceGators are looking to improve on their loss against Mississippi on Thursday night and beat Pensacola up on the scoreboard.
