Hockey season is back: Icegators @ Surge

Hockey season is here again. Frozen Chomp is on its way to the Power Plant to see the great rivals duke it out. Tonight the IceGators take on the Mississippi Surge in hopefully a thrilling opening night. Last season the Surge beat the Gators in the home opener in Blackham so revenge is on the mind of IceGators fans. The Surge also beat the Gators in the preseason exhibition game, but this game will have a different feel due to the return of key players for both teams that sat out the preseason matchup. Last season the Surge were regular season champs, thanks largely inpart to their prolific power play. The IceGators' key to winning tonight's game will be to stay out of the penalty  box to keep Steve Wiedlich and Matt Zultek from having huge nights. After tonight's game we will post a game summary.
